INET 3.2 Released
For this release, we put a lot of work into refining and validating the new, extensible 802.11 MAC model to make it ready for replacing the old codebase. We used the ns-3 Wifi model for validation. This INET version, in addition to other improvements and bug fixes, also compiles with the recently released 3rd beta of OMNeT++ 5.0.
We are happy to announce that the third preview version of OMNeT++ 5 (beta 3) is available for download. This release introduces support for 3D graphics using OpenSceneGraph, an experimental version of Qtenv (a Qt-based runtime environment that will eventually replace Tkenv), and the much-requested opp_featuretool utility, among many other improvements. Since we are now packaging binary versions of Qt, OpenSceneGraph and other libraries on OS X and Windows, and have also updated the toolchain on Windows, it is extremely important to share any build and usage problems you have with this version. Note that from now on we have separate download for Mac OS X.
